Pat Corrado Remembered

Local broadcasting legend Pat Corrado died Monday at the age of 90. Corrado is best known to local radio listeners for his years at WTBO and broadcasting Fort Hill football. His partner for 15 years was Paul Green, who had deep respect for Pat…
“Pat was a true gentleman, he really was. He was a true gentleman. I cherish his friendship. Vicki and I both are going to miss going to his house for Gerri and so and so. It’s really been a big loss. I was in shock.”
Green added that he and Corrado began their long working relationship back in the 1970s…
“For the next 15 years, we did TV and radio together and we had some great, great times, as you know doing games, you do some games from silly places. We did games in the rain, in the snow, in the wind. From a stairway in a high school, looking out the windows to do the game. It’s just that we had some great, great times.”
Scarpelli Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
