Kelley Blue Book Advises Mid-Size Vehicles for Teen Drivers

Studies show car crashes are one of the leading causes of death for teenagers. In 2024 alone, nearly 3,000 teens between 13 and 19 died from a crash on U.S. roads. Sean Tucker with Kelley Blue Book was recently on the Dave Norman Show talking about how there is a sweet spot when it comes to first cars for teen drivers…
“Sub-compact cars just don’t do well enough in an accident, and we love our full-size trucks and SUVs, but I wouldn’t want to put that in the hands of a new driver. That’s a lot to learn to control. So, avoid the big ones, avoid the small ones, stick with the compact and mid-size cars, and avoid getting too much horsepower.”
