Farmer's Market

Frostburg's annual Farmer's Market is is beginning on Friday, May 26th through October 27th from 9:30am until 1:00pm at City Place in Frostburg, Md. There will be plants, flowers and various other items to choose from. So take a trip to Frostburg on every Friday from now until then!

Super Cruise

On Saturday, May 27th, one of the first car and truck shows will be held. It's the 16th Super Cruise on Memorial Day weekend. The place is Industrial Blvd., Rt 51, South Cumberland, Md. at 5:00pm until 9:00pm. There will be dash plaques, goody bags, lots of entertainment, foodand you can cruise the blvd. Museum

The Cumberland Cultural Foundation will present the exhibit "Nature In Art" at the C. William Gilchrist Museum of the Arts, 104 Washington St., Cumberland Md, from June 2 through June 25. The exhibit features works by acrylic painter Mary Bode Boyd and fiber artist Teresa Shields. The opening receptionwill be held June 3 from 5 to 7 pm. The event is free and open to the public. Community Shred

Spring Bling Gala

An adult prom to benefit the MS Society will be held on Saturday, June 3rd from 7:30pm until 11:00pm at the Knights of Columbus located at 11 E Main St, Frostburg. This event includes the dance, prom pictures and raffles. You must be 21 years of age or over to attend. Formal attire is requested but not required. Car Show

In conjuction with the Cumberland Recreation Department's showing of the movie "Grease" at the Constitution Park Amphitheater on Saturday, June 3rd, an automotive display will be held, with vehicles parked around the water tower. The auto show begins at 6:00pm and participants will be awarded dash plaques significant to the occasion, for as long as the plaques remain available. On Saturday, June 10th the Heritage Days and Whiskey Rebellion Antique Car & Truck Show will take place from 10:00am until 4:00pm. Cruise-In

The 12th Annual Cumberland Valley Township Volunteer Fire Dept. Cruise-In will take place on Saturday, June 10th from2pm till 8pm. They will have dash plaques for the first 75 vehicles, a burn-out contest at 6pm, homemade ice cream, hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries and a chicken barbecue! They will also have a disc jockey. Cumberland Valley Township fire hall is located along Rt 220, halfway between Cumberland and Bedford in Centerville, PA.

Each month a classic movie will be shown, starring a famous Hollywood personality born in that month. These events are free and open to the public. Plant Sale

The Garden Club of Cumberland will sponsor "A Plant Sale and More" on Saturday, June 17th from 9:00am until 3:00pm in the fellowship hall and outdoor garden of Centre Street Methodist Church, at 217 Centre St., Cumberland, Md. The event will include the sale of perennials and annuals, a bake sale, a garden flea market, raffles and refreshments. Fireman's Parade

Classic Cars/Motorcycle Clubs, Civic Organizations and School/Dance Groups Wanted: The Oldtown Summerfest Committee is in search of groups to partake in the Fireman's Parade. The 18th Annual Summerfest will be held rain or shine on Saturday, June 24th from 10am-7pm, and Sunday the 25th from 12pm-6pm, at the Oldtown ballfield located at 19100 Opessa Street, SE. The festival will include various craft and food vendors, as well as entertainment and fun activities for all ages. The parade will take place at 10am on Saturday. Line-up will commence promptly at 9:00am at the Old Braddock Trail and Opessa Street intersection.
