ARREST WARRANTS SERVED

On Monday, April 8, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served three arrest warrants on Jesse Vanmeter.  The first warrant was issued as the result of an incident that was reported on April 3, 2024.  On this date at approximately 10:17 AM, officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of Gay Street for a theft.  Police contacted the victim who reported that Jesse Vanmeter robbed him of his property in the 400 block of Maryland Avenue on April 2, 2024.  After further investigation, police filed for charges against Vanmeter.  The next warrant was issued as the result of an incident that was reported on April 6, 2024.  On this date at approximately 7:46 PM, officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Woodside Avenue for a breaking and entering complaint.  Police contacted the victim who reported that Jesse Vanmeter broke into his residence the previous day and stole his property.  After further investigation, police filed for charges against Vanmeter.  Vanmeter was located on April 8, 2024 and arrested on the two active warrants.  He was transported to Central Booking.  During the transport, Vanmeter made threats of mass violence directed at the Cumberland Police Department.  Police filed for charges against Vanmeter and a third warrant was issued and served.  Vanmeter was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

On Thursday March 28th, 2024 at approximately 12:28 am, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Victoria Street when they contacted the operator, Alan Young. The officers learned that Alan had three active Arrest Warrants that were issued by various Courts in Maryland. Additionally, the officers observed evidence of impairment while speaking with Alan. Young was served his Arrest Warrants and declined to participate in standardized field sobriety tests. He was placed under arrest and later taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held without bond.

Arrest: Alan Kareem Young, age 41, Kingsland Georgia.
Charges: Violation of Probation, Assault First Degree, Assault Second Degree, Destruction of Property, and DUI Related Charges.

Arrest Warrants Served
On March 28th, 2024 officers of the Cumberland Police Department served an Arrest Warrant on Elizabeth Harclerode. The Arrest Warrant was issued by the District Court due to Elizabeth violating the conditions of her probation. Elizabeth was placed under arrest and taken before a District Court Commissioner where she was held without bond.

Arrest: Elizabeth Ann Harclerode, age 34, New Parris Pennsylvania.
Charges: Violation of Probation.

On March 29th, 2024 officers of the Cumberland Police Department served an Arrest Warrant on John Adams. The Arrest Warrant was issued by the District Court when Adams failed to appear for his trial on November 3rd, 2023. Adams was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was released on his own recognizance.

Arrest: John Junior Adams, age 44, Ridgley West Virginia.
Charges: Failure to Appear.
