On July 26th, 2025 at approximately 10:44 p.m., the Cumberland Police responded to the 300 block of Baltimore Avenue for an assault. Upon arrival officers made contact with a victim on scene. The victim advised they had been assaulted by Michael Eugene Stone Jr. Officers were able to observe injuries to the victim that were consistent with the victim's statement, and placed Stone under arrest. He was transported to Central Booking where he is currently awaiting a bond review.

On Saturday, June 8, 2024 at approximately 1:08 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 400 block of Baltimore Avenue for a male subject with violent tendencies. The caller wanted him to leave the property. Police arrived and contacted the male subject who was identified as Garrett Flanagan-Wagaman. Flanagan-Wagaman was armed with brass knuckles. He was ordered to put down the brass knuckles to which he complied. Police then contacted an assault victim who had sustained significant injuries. Officers were informed that Flanagan-Wagaman had assaulted the victim the previous day. After further investigation, Flanagan-Wagaman was arrested and transported to Central Booking. He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
