On Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Kara Inez Miller, 38, of Cumberland, MD. Miller was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court on May 23rd, 2025. The warrant alleged Miller violated the terms and conditions of probation that had been placed upon due to a previous conviction of CDS possession charges. Miller was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance, where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held without bond. At the time of her arrest, Miller was found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected drug paraphernalia. She was subsequently issued a criminal citation for the offense.

On Saturday, May 17th, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Araya Maureen Plauger, 31, of Ridgeley WV. Plauger was arrested on two active Bench Warrants issued by the Allegany County District Court on May 14th, 2025. On that date, it is alleged that Plauger failed to appear in District Court for a previous theft charge. A second warrant was served, which alleged Plauger had violated the terms and conditions of probation that had been placed upon her due to a conviction on a previous assault charge. Plauger was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance, where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held without bond.

On Saturday, May 17th, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Belen Marie Santiago Waybright, 40, of Cumberland MD. Waybright was arrested on three active Bench Warrants issued by the Allegany County District Court. On May 2nd, two warrants were issued alleging Waybright failed to comply with an orders of the court that had been placed upon her due to previous charges of theft and CDS paraphernalia possession. A third warrant, issued on May 13th, alleged Waybright violated the terms of probation that had been placed upon her due to a previous assault charge. Waybright was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance, where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held without bond.
