BENCH WARRANT CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Larry Casey Jr.  The warrant was issued as the result of Casey violating the conditions of his probation.  He was originally charged with violating a Protective Order.  Casey was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Saturday, October 14, 2023, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Michael Wallace.  The summons was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on October 3, 2023.  On this date at approximately 10:58 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a health facility in the 1000 block of W. Industrial Blvd. for a disturbance.  Police contacted the staff who reported that Michael Wallace had been there causing a disturbance, arguing with patients and employees.  Police contacted Wallace who was walking down Industrial Blvd. and told him to not return to the facility.  At approximately 12:30 PM, officers responded back to the facility for another complaint involving Wallace.  The staff reported that Wallace had returned and caused yet another disturbance.  Officers were unable to locate Wallace who had already left the area. Police filed for charges against Wallace at the District Court of Allegany County.  Wallace signed for his copy of the summons and was released pending trial.

On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant and criminal summons on Leonard Metzner.  The warrant was issued as the result of Metzner failing to appear in court on March 13, 2023.  He was originally charged with Theft $1,500 to under $25,000 and multiple counts of Destroy Funerary Object. Metzner was arrested and transported to Central Booking.  A search of Metzner revealed that he was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  Police filed for charges against Metzner at the District Court of Allegany County and a summons was issued.  Metzner signed for his copy of the summons.  He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and he posted a $5,000 unsecured personal bond.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Nichole Jones.  The summons was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on March 9, 2023.  On this date at approximately 6:09 PM, an officer of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 300 block of N. Centre Street for a theft.  Police contacted the alleged victim who reported that he had packages stolen from the porch of his house.  An investigation was conducted and the suspect was identified as Nichole Jones.  Police filed for charges against Jones at the District Court of Allegany County.  Jones signed for her copy of the summons and released pending trial.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Tuesday, March, 14, 2023, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Brian Hensel.  The summons was issued as the result of a private citizen filing for charges against Hensel at the District Court of Allegany County.  Hensel signed for his copy of the summons and was released pending trial.
