On Thursday, September 19, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Brenda Ogden.  The warrant was issued as the result of Ogden failing to appear in court.  She was originally charged with Burglary-4th Degree Theft, and Theft less than $100.  Ogden was arrested and transported to Central Booking.  She was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and released on her personal recognizance.

BENCH WARRANTS SERVED
On Thursday, September 19, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant and an arrest warrant on Eugene Edwards.  The bench warrant was issued as the result of Edwards violating probation.  He was originally charged with Violate Protective Order.  The arrest warrant was issued as the result of a private citizen filing charges against Edwards at the District Court of Allegany County.  Edwards was contacted during a traffic stop conducted by officers of the Cumberland Police Department.  The warrants were confirmed and Edwards was placed under arrest.  Edwards was also found to be in possession of suspected suboxone.  He was issued a criminal citation for the violation.  Edwards was transported to Central Booking and later seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing.  He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
