On December 4th, 2025 the Cumberland Police Department served two warrants on Gordon Joshua Whitfield. The first bench was issued as a result of failing to appear for a Circuit Court hearing on July 15th, 2025, for original charges of CDS possession not marijuana. The second arrest warrant was issued after a Cumberland Police officer completed an investigation into a theft that occurred on E. Oldtown Road. Whitfield was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking; where he was later presented before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

On Monday, August 18th, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Lee Emanuel Phillip, 35, of Keyser, WV. Phillip was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County Circuit Court on October 29th, 2024. The warrant alleged Phillip failed to appear in Circuit Court on that date for a previous CDS possession charge. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance, where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond.
