On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served two bench warrants and a criminal summons on Michael Chamberlain. The warrants were issued as the result of Chamberlain violating probation on original charges of False Statement to Officer and Electronic Comm Harass. The summons was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on July 31, 2025 at approximately 12:06 PM when officers responded to a business on Queen City Drive for a theft. Police contacted the staff who reported that Chamberlain had shoplifted. After further investigation, police filed for charges against Chamberlain at the District Court of Allegany County. Chamberlain was arrested on the warrants and later seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing. At the conclusion, Chamberlain was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on two $500 bonds.

BENCH WARRANT SERVED
On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Hawke Coffman. The warrant was issued as the result of Coffman failing to appear in court on an original charge of Malicious Destruction of Property less than $1000. Coffman was arrested and later seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing. At the conclusion, he posted a $2,500 unsecured personal bond.

On Thursday, May 29, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served two Circuit Court bench warrants on Devin Joyner. The warrants were issued as the result of Joyner violating probation on original charges of CDS: Possess-Not Marijuana, and Assault-2nd Degree. Joyner was arrested and taken to the Allegany County Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond pending his appearance before the court.

BENCH WARRANT SERVED
On Thursday, May 29, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served a Circuit Court bench warrant on Tavante Jones. The warrant was issued as the result of Jones violating probation on an original charge of CDS: Dist/Narc. Jones was arrested and taken to the Allegany County Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond pending his appearance before the court.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Thursday, May 29, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Vanessa Frost. The summons was issued as the result of a private citizen filing for charges against Frost at the District Court of Allegany County. Frost signed for her copy of the summons and she was released pending trial.
