On August 8th, 2025 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Deron Michael Elbin. The summons was issued as a result of a private citizen filing for charges at District Court. Elbin signed for his copy of the summons and was released pending trial at District Court.

Trespassing
On August 8th, 2025 at approximately 3:52 p.m., an officer from the Cumberland Police Department responded to a property on George Street for an individual refusing to leave at the request of a Code Enforcement officer. The individual was later identified as Christopher Michael Freeman Sr. Freeman was given several orders to leave the area by officers, but he refused and became aggressive towards the officers. Freeman then began to make threats of physical violence. He was subsequently placed under arrest where he began to kick the doors of the police cruiser. He was eventually transported to Central Booking. Freeman was then presented in front of a District Court Commissioner and was released pending trial at District Court.

CHARGES: Trespassing on Posted Property, Disorderly Conduct, Create Intoxicated Public Disturbance, Malicious Destruction of Property.
Bench Warrant Served
On August 8th, 2025 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Jared Nathaniel Citarelli. The warrant was issued as a result of Citarelli failing to appear for Circuit Court on June 17th, 2025. Citarelli's original charges were for CDS possession not Cannabis. Citarelli was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center where he was remanded without bond.

Bench Warrant Served
On August 8th, 2025 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Kevin Wayne Snider Jr. The warrant was issued as a result of a Circuit Court officer placing an order for a body attachment on Snider on July 21st, 2025. Snider was transported to Central Booking and was presented before a DIstrict Court Commissioner where he was released after posting a bail of $100.00.

On August 8th, 2025 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Samantha Michelle Nelson. The warrant was issued as a result of Nelson failing to appear for court on August 6th, 2025 for original charges of Burglary and trespassing. Nelson was transported to Central Booking and later presented before a District Court Commissioner where she was held on a $500.00 bond.

Bench Warrant Served
On August 8th, 2025 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Nicholas Andrew Kneisley. The warrant was issued as a result of Kneisley failing to appear for court on May 15th, 2025 for an original charge of assault. Kneisley was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking. He was presented before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

Criminal Summons Served
On July 25th, 2025 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Sherman E. Denmark. The criminal summons was issued as a result of an incident that occurred on July 16th, 2025 on Baltimore Street. A Cumberland Police officer responded to an address for a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, they located Denmark who was found to be trespassing, and as a citation was being issued to Denmark he left the scene without notice. Denmark signed for his copy of the summons and was released pending trial at District Court.

Criminal Summons Served
On July 25th, 2025 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Elwood Carl Beavers. The summons was issued as a result of an investigation completed for a breaking and entering that occurred on June 18th, 2025. Officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to an address on North Waverly Terrace and located Beavers inside. Beavers was determined to have no interest in the property and was asked to leave. Later, a Cumberland Police officer filed for charges at District Court. Beavers signed for his copy of the summons and was released pending trial at District Court.
