***Adult Arrest***
On Friday, May 3rd, 2024, the Cumberland City Police arrested Steven Sharp, 43, of Berlin PA. Sharp was arrested for being a fugitive from justice when it was discovered that he had an extraditable arrest warrant issued in Somerset County PA. The warrant was issued for an April 30th incident and charged Sharp with strangulation, aggravated assault, and harassment. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held on without bond, awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.

***Adult Arrest***
On Friday, May 3rd, 2024, the Cumberland City Police responded to the 900 block of Grand Ave for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival on scene, officers located an injured male victim as well as multiple witnesses. It was learned that the male subject had been involved in a verbal altercation inside a vehicle traveling in the area. The male exited the vehicle and began to approach a nearby home. When the male walked in front of the vehicle, the driver accelerated quickly, striking the male subject. The driver and vehicle then fled the area. The Cumberland Fire Department responded to the scene to treat the male subject for non-life-threatening injuries. Officers were able to locate both the vehicle and driver a short time later, resulting in the arrest of Brittany Renee Clark, 37, of Cumberland MD. She was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance where she was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.

Charges: Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment.

***Adult Arrest***
On Friday, March 8th, 2024, the Cumberland City Police arrested Ashley Marie Silvious, 36, of Cumberland MD. Silvious was arrested on two active Bench Warrants issued by the Allegany County District Court. Both warrants were issued as a result of Silvious failing to appear for trials on previous traffic related charges. Silvious was taken before a District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held on $5,000 bond.

***Adult Arrest***
On Friday, March 8th, 2024, the Cumberland City Police arrested Craig Keith Wilson Jr, 38, of Cumberland MD. Wilson was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court on August 8th, 2022. The warrant alleges Wilson failed to appear in District Court on that date for a previous charge of driving on a suspended license. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was released on his own recognizance
