BENCH WARRANT SERVED
On Saturday, November 23, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on James Langway. The warrant was issued as the result of Langway failing to comply with a court order. Langway was originally charged with 6 counts of Malicious Destruction of Property $1000+ and 2 counts of Malicious Destruction of Property less than $1000. Langway was arrested and seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing. At the conclusion, Langway was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

ARREST WARRANT SERVED
On Saturday, November 23, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Tavon Gray. The warrant was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on November 2, 2024. On this date at approximately 7:05 PM, officers responded to a business on Queen City Drive for the theft of an electric bicycle. After further investigation, a suspect was developed and identified as Tavon Gray. The bicycle was later recovered by police from a residence in the 500 block of Bedford Street and returned to the owner. Police filed for charges against Gray at the District Court of Allegany County. Gray was arrested and later seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing. At the conclusion, he was released on his personal recognizance.
