BENCH WARRANT SERVED
On Friday, April 12, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Annette Washington. The warrant was issued as the result of Washington failing to appear in court. She was originally charged with CDS: Possess Paraphernalia. Washington was arrested and transported to Central Booking. She was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and released on her personal recognizance.

BENCH WARRANT SERVED
On Friday, April 12, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Tyler Westfall. The warrant was issued as the result of Westfall failing to comply with an order of the court. He was originally charged with Burglary-4th Degree-Dwelling, CDS: Possess Paraphernalia, and Trespass: Private Property. Westfall was arrested and transported to Central Booking. He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Friday, April 12, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Steven Nicol. The summons was issued as the result of a private citizen filing for charges against Nicol at the District Court of Allegany County. Nicol signed for his copy of the summons and he was released pending trial.

CDS ARREST
On Friday, April 12, 2024 at approximately 4:08 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 68 Westbound in the area of the 42 mile-marker. Officers contacted the operator who was identified as Jennifer Staples. A search of the vehicle was conducted and Staples was found to be in possession of suspected Suboxone and drug paraphernalia. Staples was issued criminal citations and released pending trial.
