Two Women facing child neglect charges

On July 6th, officers of the Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons on Stephanie Holtman. The Criminal Summons stemmed from an incident on July 2nd, 2022 when Holtman harbored a runaway juvenile and obstructed the officer’s investigation into the incident. An application for charges was submitted against Holtman and the Criminal Summons was issued. Holtman signed for her Criminal Summons and was released pending her initial appearance at District Court.

Arrest: Stephanie Holtman, age 39, Cumberland Maryland.

Charges: Obstructing and Hindering, and Contributing to the Condition of a Minor.

 

On July 6th, 2022 officers of the Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons on Elizabeth Meinhardt. The Criminal Summons was issued by the District Court stemming from an investigation on July 1st, 2022. During the incident officers responded to a Boone Street address for reported violation of a court order. Upon officers arrival they spoke with the victim who advised Elizabeth Meinhardt had contacted them and invited them to the residence, after being served with a court order to not contact the victim. Upon the victims arrival to the residence they observed Meinhard to be heavily intoxicated and two small children to be unsupervised. Officers spoke with Meinhardt and determined her to be intoxicated to the point of not being able to provide care to the children. An application for charges was completed against Meinhardt and a Criminal Summons was issued. Meinhardt signed for her Criminal Summons and was released pending her initial appearance at District Court.

Arrest: Elizabeth Irene Meinhardt, age 23, Cumberland Maryland.

Charges: Violation of Protective Order, and Two Counts Contributing to the Condition of a Minor.

On Monday January 22nd, 2018 the Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Regina L. Merica of Cumberland.  The summons was issued by District Court when application was made on January 21st, alleging that Merica assaulted and harassed the petitioner.  Merica signed and received her copies and was released pending trial.
 

Regina Lynn Merica, age; 30, Cumberland, Maryland.

Charges:  Assault 2nd, disorderly conduct, and harassment.

Criminal summons.

 

 

On Monday January 22nd, 2018 the Cumberland City served a criminal summons on Samantha Lynn Deter of Cumberland.  The summons was issued by District Court when application was made alleging that Deter returned merchandise at the Rue 21 located at the Country Club Mall receiving cash back.  According to the court document, Deter exchanged several items at the store and received full price for the merchandise even though she did not pay full price when she initially bought them receiving over $200 more than she originally paid.  She signed and received copies of her paperwork and was released pending trial.

 

Samantha Lynn Deter, age; 34, Cumberland, Maryland.

Charges:  Theft scheme less than $1000.

Criminal summons.
