Columbia Street Assault Arrest

On Sunday, February 4, 2024 at approximately 8:27 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 100 block of Columbia Street for a disturbance.  The caller reported that there was a male subject with a machete.  When police arrived, they observed Elias Harr in a verbal altercation with two other subjects.  One of the other subjects kicked the machete into the street and advised officers that he got the machete from Harr.  Police collected the machete and interviewed the involved parties.  The alleged victim in the incident reported that Harr pulled the machete out and threatened to kill him.  After further investigation, Harr was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking.  He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and held on a temporary commitment-recalcitrant.

CHARGES:  Attempted Assault-1st Degree, Assault-2nd Degree, Dangerous Weapon-Int. to Injure, Disorderly Conduct, Disturb Peace Hinder Passage

On Sunday, October 15, 2023 at approximately 1:07 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 300 block of Columbia Street for a disturbance.  Police contacted the residents and learned that an assault had occurred.  The alleged victim reported that Heather Windle assaulted her.  Officers observed that the victim had sustained injuries consistent with her statement.  After further investigation, Windle was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters.  Windle was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and released on her personal recognizance.
