On Thursday, January 18th, 2024, The Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Paul Kenneth Lapp, 37, Cumberland MD. The summons was in reference to an incident that occurred on January 6th in the 100 block of West Third St. During the incident, it is alleged that an intoxicated Shook was setting off fireworks at 1230 am which disturbed multiple residents in the area. He was served the summons and released, pending trial in District Court.
Arrested: Paul Kenneth Lapp             Age: 37
Charges:  Disorderly Conduct, Intoxicated Public Disturbance.

On Thursday, January 18th, 2024, The Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Tara Renee Athey, 40, Cumberland MD. The summons was in reference to an incident that occurred on December 24th, 2023, in the 600 block of Maryland Ave. During that incident, it is alleged that Athey assaulted the same female victim on two separate occasions throughout the day. She was served the summons and released, pending trial in District Court.

Charges:  Assault 2nd Degree x2
