On Thursday, April 11th, 2024, the Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Samantha Lee Riley, 38, of Cumberland MD. The summons was in reference to an incident that occurred on April 11th at a residence in the 100 block of Polk St. During the incident, it is alleged that Riley interfered with officers as a lawful arrest was being made on another subject. As a result of the incident, an application for charges was submitted and a summons issued. On this date, the summons was served and Riley was released, pending trial in District Court.

On Thursday, April 11th, 2024, the Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Ilean Hazel O’Rourke, 77, of Cumberland MD. The summons was in reference to an incident that occurred on April 9th in the 700 block of Bedford St. During that incident, it was reported that O’Rourke became irate due to a vehicle that had parked on the sidewalk in front of her home. The victim advised O’Rourke that the vehicle would be moved shortly due to the victim picking up furniture from a nearby residence. It is alleged that O’Rourke then followed the victim to the residence and assaulted them. On this date, the summons was served and O’Rourke was released, pending trial in District Court.
