Cumberland Man Charged with Disorderly Conduct

On Tuesday, January 26th, 2021the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Jeffrey Wayne Yutzy charging him with assault, disorderly conduct, and obstructing and hindering.  The summons was issued by District Court in reference to an incident back on January 2nd, 2021 when officers responded to a Bedford Street residence for a disturbance.  When officers arrived, Yutzy was destroying property inside of the residence and he also resisted officers’ attempts to place him into custody.  He signed and received copies of the charging documents and was released pending trial at District Court.

On 12/11/2020 at approximately 10:45 PM the Cumberland City Police Department responded to a business in the 300 block of Queen City Drive for a disturbance. Upon arrival officers spoke to the complainant who advised a former employee, Jeremy Michael Skidmore was at the business and was intoxicated. The complainant advised that Mr. Skidmore was arguing with employees and then went behind the counter that separates patrons from employees. Mr. Skidmore continued to yell at staff while behind the counter, but left prior to officer’s arrival. An application for charges was applied for through the District Court and a criminal summons was issued. On 1/6/2021 the summons was served on Mr. Skidmore while he was at the Allegany Detention Center on an unrelated offense.
