Cumberland Police Detail Saturday Arrests

Controlled Dangerous Substance Arrest

 

On July 2, 2022 officers of the Cumberland Police Department conducted a traffic stop. Officer’s identified the driver as, Joseph Allen Edmonson. Officers then observed suspected marijuana and a suspected meth pipe in plain view. Mr. Edmonson received a criminal citation and was released from the scene.

Arrest: Joseph Allen Edmonson, age 57, Cumberland Maryland.

Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Arrest Warrant Served

 

On July 2, 2022 an arrest warrant for failure to appear was served on Robert W. Ware. The original charges were for failure to remain at the scene of an accident. Ware is current remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center.

 

Arrest: Robert W. Ware, age 63, Bedford Pennsylvania.

 

Charges: Failure to appear. No preset.

 

Arrest Warrant Served

 

On July 2, 2022 an arrest warrant for failure to appear was served on Julie Marie Jenkins. The original charges stemmed from traffic violations. Jenkins is current remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center.

 

Arrest: Julie Marie Jenkins, Age 41, Cumberland Maryland.

 

Charges: Traffic Charges. $1000.00 preset.

Cumberland Police arrested a 38 year old city man after a disturbance on North Lee Street. The alleged victim told police that Scott Michael Dersin has become enraged when he was awaken from his sleep. That situation led to the victim sustaining physical injuries, with Dersin also briefly barricading himself in a room in the residence before surrendering to officers.

Two men were arrested after Cumberland Police were called to Ali Ghan Road to investigate an assault. The situation is said to have started inside a vehicle as an argument between 22 year olds Tristan Dorsey and Joshua Twigg. Witnesses watched as the pair fought in the parking lot, and now both will face charges of Disorderly Conduct in District Court.

City Police arrested a Cumberland man for causing a disturbance in the 100 block of West First Street. When they arrived on the scene, officers saw 55 year old Hallie Hansford Holder yelling at a group of people. They told him to quiet down, and when he continued to yell at those in the group and police, he was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Failure to Obey.
