**ARREST WARRANT SERVED**

On Saturday, October 4th, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Lucas Christopher Walker. The warrant was issued as the result of a private citizen filing for charges against Walker at the Allegany County District Court Commissioner's Office. He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing, and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

Arrested: Lucas Christopher Walker, Age 23, Cumberland, Maryland.

Charges: Arrest Warrant- Sex Offense 3rd Degree Child <14, Sex Offense 4th Degree-Sex Contact, Child Abuse 2nd degree: Custodian, Assault 2nd Degree

 

**ADULT ARRESTS**

On Saturday, October 4th, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 400 Block of Seymour Street for a reported breaking and entering complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the property owner, who confirmed that no one had authorization to be on the premises.

Further investigation revealed an open door at the residence, and officers located two individuals inside: Joshua Day and Abree Braithwaite. Day and Braithwaite were arrested and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center. They were later seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing, and both released on their own recognizance.  

Arrested: Joshua Gene Day, Age 34, Cumberland, Maryland

Charges: Burglary 4th Degree  

 

Arrested: Abree Danicka Braithwaite, Age 32, Cumberland, Maryland

Charges: Burglary 4th Degree  

 

**BURGLARY CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED**

On Saturday, October 4th, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Kimberly Dawn Hughes.  The summons was issued as a result of an incident that occurred on June 4th,2025 when officers responded to a trespassing complaint in the 300 Block of Springdale Street. Hughes signed for her copy of the summons and was released pending trial at district court. 

Arrested: Kimberly Dawn Hughes, Age 49, Cumberland, Maryland

Charges: Burglary 4th Degree, Destruction Of Property
