On Wednesday, January 20th, 2020 Ashley Regina Kline, age; 33, was charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault after Cumberland Police responded to an incident at a Williams Street residence. She was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond.

On Friday at approximately 5:07 PM the Cumberland Police responded to the 100 block of E. First Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival police learned Sherry Lynn Ann Perkins and an adult male subject had been involved in an argument over a cell phone. The argument turned physical when Perkins slapped the male in the face. Officers observed minor injuries to the males face and placed Perkins under arrest. She was taken before a District Court Commissioner where she was released after posting an unsecured bond of $1500. The male subject did not require medical treatment.
