Disturbance Leads to Arrest

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of Baltimore Street and Centre Street for the report of a male causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, the Officer located a male who matched the description provided by the complainant. While speaking with him, the male was given multiple orders to stop yelling. After failing to do so repeatedly, he was placed under arrest. The male was identified as David Ambrose. Ambrose was taken before a District Court Commissioner, where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center and held without bond. 

Arrest: David Howard Ambrose, Age 65, Cumberland, Maryland.

Charge: Disorderly Conduct, Failure to Obey, Disturbance of the Peace.

On Sunday, April 3, 2022 at approximately 12:46 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 600 block of Princeton Street for a disturbance.  Upon officers’ arrival, they contacted the resident who advised that Aaron Soules was at the residence.  It was known to police that the resident had a Protective Order against Soules and he was not allowed to be there.  While speaking with the resident, Soules ran out of the rear of the residence.  Officers ordered Soules to stop and he continued to flee on foot, attracting the attention of multiple neighbors in the area.  Officers were able to take Soules into custody after a brief foot chase. Soules was transported to the police station for processing and then taken to Central Booking.  He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner who remanded him to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $1,000 bond.

 

ARRESTED:  Aaron Matthew Soules    AGE: 32          Cumberland, MD

CHARGES:  Violation of Final Protective Order, Disorderly Conduct
