The latest construction update on the Baltimore Street projects shows that Triton Construction is on target to be finished in time for the ribbon cutting scheduled for November 14. Trench gates are going in on Baltimore Street for drainage and the base has been laid for the final stretch of bricks along the street. Work is almost complete on the Liberty Street plaza and light posts will be installed over the next few weeks.

Melinda Kelleher of the Downtown Development Commission has provided a short update on construction efforts in Downtown Cumberland. The focus of work right now is on concrete curbing and roadway pavers. This week, Triton Construction will be concentrating on roadway and parking area pavers on North Centre Street and the middle block of Baltimore Street. By the end of April, shoppers should start to see trees being planted and possibly sidewalk paver installation.
