On Tuesday, May 30th, 2023, The Cumberland City Police responded to a business in the 700 block of Park St for the report of a theft. Upon arrival, officers contacted employees of the business who advised a female had stolen over $200 worth of merchandise and left the store on foot. Officers were able to locate the female walking a short distance away from the store. The female was unable to provide any proof of purchase for the stolen items in her possession. As a result, Gabriella Ann Keplinger, 34, of Barton MD, was placed under arrest. She was issued a criminal citation for theft before being released, pending trial in District Court.
