Cumberland Police Saturday responded to a residence on the 200 block of East Union St for a report of a burglary that had occurred previously. During the burglary several handguns were reported to have been stolen. The scene was processed by a Cumberland Police crime scene technician. On Thursday at approximately 5:30 AM the Cumberland Police responded to a business on N. Centre Street for a burglary complaint. When police arrived they found evidence of forced entry into the business. Investigation revealed several items had been removed from inside by an unknown person(s). A crime scene technician with the Cumberland Police responded and processed the scene for evidence and police are reviewing video surveillance in the area. The crime is believed to have occurred sometime between 2:00 AM and 5:30 AM. Police are asking anyone who may have information about the incident to call the Cumberland Police Department at 301-777-1600.
