Police Make Disorderly Conduct Arrest

The Cumberland Police were called to a business on the 400 block of Maryland Ave for a report of a disorderly subject.  Upon arrival, the officers learned that the subject had broken a display rack in the business and caused a disturbance with employees and other customers.  He had already left the area.  Officers were able to identify James Robert Michael Langway, age 33 of Cumberland, MD on the surveillance video.  Langway was located a short time later on Park St.  He was again creating a disturbance, yelling at passing vehicles and throwing garbage in a parking lot.  He was placed under arrest and taken to Central Booking for his initial appearance with the District Court Commissioner.  Langway was charged with two counts of Disorderly Conduct, Destruction of Property, and Littering.    He was held on a temporary bond.

An officer of the Cumberland Police Department was on patrol on Front St when they observed a male and female arguing.  The female yelled for assistance from the officer, claiming that the male had stolen an item from her.  When the officer stopped to assist, the male fled on foot and refused the officer’s commands to stop.  After a short foot pursuit, the officer was able to apprehend Robert Gene Gray, age 36, of Cumberland MD.  Gray was issued two criminal citations for Disorderly Conduct and Fail to Obey a Lawful Order. He was released from the police station after receiving his citations.
