On Monday, September 18th, 2023, The Cumberland City Police arrested Thomas Victor Lancaster IV, 27, of Cumberland MD. Lancaster was arrested on an outstanding Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County Circuit Court on September 13th, 2023. The warrant alleges that Lancaster violated the terms of pre-trial supervision placed upon him that stemmed from a previous CDS possession charge. Lancaster was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond.

On Monday, September 18th, 2023, The Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Maryland Ave for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival on scene, Officers made contact with multiple individuals. It was discovered that an argument broke out in the home over a wifi password and an electric bill. During the argument, and assault began and facial injuries were sustained by a male victim on scene. As a result, Liane Marie Walsh, 26, was placed under arrest. She was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance where she was released on her own recognizance.

On August 25th Cumberland City Police arrested Gerald Charles Knorr, 62, of Albany NY. Knorr was arrested on an outstanding Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court. The warrant alleges that Knorr failed to obey the terms and conditions of his probation that stemmed from a previous disorderly conduct charge that he received in 2018. Knorr was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond.

On August 25th, 2022, The Cumberland City Police arrested Tavane Ernest Jones, 25, of Cumberland, MD. Jones was arrested on an outstanding Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County Circuit Court on August 19th, 2022. The warrant was issued as a result of a Grand Jury Indictment that alleges Jones was involved in the possession and sales of narcotics. Jones was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center where he is being held without bond.

On August 25th, 2022, The Cumberland City Police arrested Robert Michael Washington, 43, of Cumberland, MD. Washington was arrested on an outstanding Arrest Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court for an incident that occurred on August 23rd, 2022. During that Incident, officers responded to a Magnolia Ct residence for the report of an assault. Once on scene, victims alleged that Washington had assaulted them after an argument over a wheelchair. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
