Police Serve Arrest Warrants

On October 3rd, 2022 officers of the Cumberland Police Department served an Arrest Warrant on Nicholas Kneisley. The Arrest Warrant was issued by the District Court when Kneisley failed to appear for his trial at the District Court. Kneisley was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was released on his own recognizance.

Arrest: Nicholas Andrew Kneisley, age 30, Cumberland Maryland.

Charges: Failure to Appear.

 

On October 3rd, 2022 officers of the Cumberland Police Department served an Arrest Warrant on Abraham Ortiz. The Arrest Warrant was issued by the District Court stemming from an assault on August 8th, 2022. During the incident officers responded to the 100 block of Greene Street for a disturbance involving Abraham Ortiz. Upon officers arrival they observed Ortiz to be actively creating a disturbance. Officers attempted to place Ortiz under arrest and he continuously attempted to escape officers grasp. During the incident Ortiz kicked, scratched, and spat on officers and other victims. Officers determined that Ortiz required medical attention and was admitted to a medical facility and an application for charges was completed resulting in this Arrest Warrant. Ortiz was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was released on an unsecured bond of $1,500.

Arrest: Abraham Rivera Ortiz, age 39, Cumberland Maryland.

Charges: Two Counts of Assault Second Degree, Disorderly Conduct.

 

On October 2nd, 2022 officers of the Cumberland Police Department served an Arrest Warrant on Jasmond Metheny. The Arrest Warrant was issued by the Circuit Court when Metheny violated the conditions of his probation. Metheny was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center.

Arrest: Jasmond Jaquan Metheny, age 32, Cumberland Maryland.

Charges: Violation of Probation.

 

On October 3rd, 2022 officers of the Cumberland Police Department served an Arrest Warrant on Rickey Jones. The Arrest Warrant was issued by the District Court stemming from a motor vehicle crash that occurred on September 13th, 2022. During the incident officers responded to the 400 block of Maryland Avenue for a reported motor vehicle crash. Upon officers arrival they observed a vehicle to be have struck a building and contacted the operator, Jones. The officers were able to observe evidence of impairment and after the performance of standardized field sobriety Jones was determined to be under the influence. It was determined that Jones required medical attention and was transported to a local medical facility. An application for charges was completed against Jones, resulting in this Arrest Warrant. Jones was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was released on his own recognizance.

Arrest: Rickey Ludan Jones, age 71, Cumberland Maryland.

Charges: Driving Under the Influence, and Numerous Traffic Related Charges.

On September 5th, 2022 the Cumberland Police were contacted by a male at the Police Station.  The male subject advised that he had been assaulted by Crystal Nicole Rymer, age 31 of Cumberland, MD.  According to the male victim, he and Rymer had an argument while on Frederick St, in the downtown area.  During the argument, Rymer pulled a knife and threatened to stab the male.  A brief struggle ensued and he was able to get the knife away from her, however he sustained minor injuries due to the incident.  An application of charges was filed and an Arrest Warrant was issued.  On September 6th, 2022, Rymer was arrested on the Warrant.  She was charged with First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon with the Intent to Injure.  She was taken to Central Booking for her initial appearance before the District Court Commissioner and held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center. 

Arrested: Crystal Nicole Rymer    Age:  31  Cumberland, MD

Charges:  First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon with the Intent to Injure

 

 

The Cumberland Police served an Arrest Warrant on Patricia Pearle Sisler, age 50, of Cumberland, MD.  Sisler was charged with Threat of Mass Destruction and Disturbing the Peace.  The charges were a result of an incident that occurred at a local medical facility.  Sisler threatened staff and made statements of using a bomb to blow the facility up.  It was determined at the time that she was not in possession of any explosives.  Charges were filed and an Arrest Warrant was issued.  Sisler was taken to Central Booking for her initial appearance before the District Court Commissioner.  She was held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center. 

Arrested: Patricia Pearle Sisler   Age:   50           Cumberland, MD

Charges:  Threat of Mass Destruction and Disturbing the Peace
