Police Serve Criminal Summonses

On Monday, officers of the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Jaren Brunson. On July 20, 2022 Officers from Cumberland Police Department were dispatched to a Columbia Street address for a report of a burglary. The victim advised Officers that an unknown male entered her residence without permission. The victim advised the subject to leave but removed a bicycle that did not belong to the suspect. The suspect was identified as Jaren Brunson. Officers made contact with Jaren Brunson. Brunson admitted to entering the residence and removing the bike. The bicycle was located and placed into CPD property. The criminal summons was issued by the District Court of Maryland for Burglary and theft.

Arrest: Jaren Brunson, Age 20, Cumberland Maryland

Charges; Burglary/Theft

 

On August 8, 2022 Officers of the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Kevin Wayne Woods. The original incident occurred on June 20, 2022 when it was reported that a subject had repeatedly removed money from the victims account. It was determined that Kevin Woods removed the currency without permission. Woods later indicated that he would repay the $430.00 to the victim. Due to the fact that Woods continued a course of action removing the money and no restitution was made Criminal charges were filed at The District Court of Maryland.

Arrest: Kevin Wayne Woods, Age 59, Cumberland Maryland

Charge: Theft Scheme $100-$1000

On May 25, 2022 Officers of the Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons on Katherine Louise Legeer for Theft less than $100.00. The District Court issued a criminal summons, on July 5, 2022. The original incident was investigated by the Cumberland Police. Officers determined that Ms. Legeer removed an electronic device Valued at $100.00 from another subject. Ms. Legeer was served the summons pending a trial date.

Arrest: Legeer, Katherine Louise, Age 32, Cumberland Maryland

Charges: Theft less than $100.00

 

On July 7, 2022 Officers of the Cumberland Police Department served two Criminal Summonses on John Tyler Brennan. The investigation was conducted by the Cumberland Police resulting in two separate incidents. 

Arrest: John Tyler Brennan, Age 30, Cumberland Maryland. Mr. Brennan was served pending a trial date.

Charge: 2X Fake CDS- Possession With intent to deliver, Forgery-priv documents, Issue false document, Theft less than $100.00

 

On July 7, 2022 Officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of Industrial Blvd., for a motor vehicle accident. Officers were advised that accident occurred between a vehicle and bicycle. Based on the crash reconstruction it was determined that the bicycle was at fault. The Operator of the bicycle was transported to UPMC for non life threatening injuries.
