Police Serve Summonses

On Sunday, November 7th, 2021 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Karlee Jo Bentham charging her with theft.  The summons was issued in reference to a complaint filed that Bentham stole prescription medication from a E. Mary Street residence back on October 18th, 2021.  She was later interview by an officer and admitted to the theft.  Bentham signed and received copies of the charging documents and was released pending trial at District Court.

On Sunday, November 7th, 2021 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Jessa Amber Davis charging her with assault.  The charges were issued by District Court in reference to an incident that occurred on November 5th, 2021 at a Frederick Street residence.  On that date, officers responded for the report of the assault and spoke with a male victim that stated he had been assaulted by Davis.  There was evidence of a recent assault and officers applied for charges at the District Court Commissioner’s Office.  Davis signed and received copies of the charging documents and was released pending trial at District Court.

On Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021, The Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Charles Robert Bauman II, 50, of Cumberland MD. The summons stemmed from an incident that occurred on June 21st, 2021 at a residence in the 200 block of Paca St. During that incident it is alleged that Bauman assaulted a female subject in the home. Bauman was served the summons and released, pending trial in District Court.
 

Arrested:   Charles Robert Bauman II

Charge:   Assault 2nd Degree

 

 

On Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021, The Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Christopher Scott Cook, 24, of Cumberland MD. The summons stemmed from an incident that occurred on June 16th, 2021 at a residence in the 500 block of Linden St. During that incident it is alleged that Cook and another subject stole multiple items from the owner of the residence and left in a vehicle that they were not authorized to drive. Cook was served the summons and released, pending trial in District Court.

Arrested:   Christopher Scott Cook

Charge:   Theft $1,000 to $10,000, Motor Vehicle/Unlawful Taking
