Queen City Drive Arrest

On Monday, June 24th, 2024, the Cumberland City Police received an online tip of a black in color Chevrolet Suburban operating recklessly in the area of Queen City Drive. Video of the incident showed the vehicle being operated by a white male, spinning tires and driving erratically. A short time later, officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Linden St for the report of a disturbance. Once on scene, it was learned that the individuals involved in the disturbance had left the area in a vehicle matching the aforementioned vehicle. As the investigation continued, Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle, being operated by Just James, 25, of Cumberland MD. As a result of the investigation, James was placed under arrest for numerous traffic and criminal offenses. James was taken before the District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance where he was released on his own recognizance.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated, Driving while Under The Influence, Reckless Driving, Hit & Run, Other related traffic charges.

Cumberland city police responded Saturday morning at Family Dollar on Queen City Drive for a shoplifting complaint.  Angie Lee Lambert, 36, of Ridgeley, was charged with theft of less than $100.  Police also discovered a pill bottle in Lambert’s possession.  She was also charged with several counts of possession of CDS and violation of probation.
