On Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department responded to a Queen City Drive business for the report of a theft. Once on scene, officers learned that a male subject had entered the store, concealed items in his clothing, and left without attempting to pay. Officers were able to locate the subject a short distance from the store and place the subject in custody. As a result, Rick Lindsley Michel, 34, of Cumberland MD, was issued a criminal citation and released, pending trial in District Court.

On Monday, October 7, 2024 at approximately 4:33 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business on Queen City Drive for a shoplifting complaint. Officers contacted the staff who reported that the suspect stole merchandise from the store. The suspect was located in the 100 block of N. Allegany Street and identified as Richard Boudah. After further investigation, Boudah was placed under arrest. He was issued a criminal citation and released pending trial.
