- ACPS, Mountain Ridge school district is on a 3 hour delay today December 19, 2023. There will be no morning PreK and no breakfast will be served.
- Allegany Transit, No Purple Line today
- Garrett County Public Schools will conduct a synchronous Virtual Learning Day (live instruction) today, Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Schools will be closed for in-person learning. Liberal leave is in effect.
- All schools in Mineral County will be on a 2-hour delay on Tue. Dec. 19, 2023.
- Snow Emergency Plan went into effect for Garrett County at 5 PM on 12/18/2023.
- State has declared liberal leave beginning at 6 am through the end of day shift in Garrett County.Emergency Essential Employees should report as scheduled. Non-emergency essential employees who report to the office to work may use liberal leave upon notification to the employee’s supervisor. Teleworkers should work as scheduled unless leave is granted.

The McHenry Barrack of Maryland State Police has placed Garrett County's Snow Emergency Plan into effect, as of 8:30 AM.
Snow shower activity combined with already frozen road surfaces have led to conditions that are slick in spots.
