On Saturday, July 20, 2024 at approximately 10:07 AM, an officer of the Cumberland Police Department was on patrol in the area of Queen City Drive when they observed a male subject, Rodney Smith, walk across the train tracks. The area is posted “CSX Property No Trespassing”. The officer contacted Smith and issued him a criminal citation. He was then released pending trial.

On Friday, April 5th, The Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 100 block of Polk St for a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival on scene, officers contacted the residents of the home. The residents advised that a female subject they had just met was in their home and was refusing to leave. When officers contacted the female suspect, she refused to provide officers with a name or leave the residence. After repeated requests to comply with the officers were denied by the suspect, officers advised her that she was under arrest. At that time, she began to actively resist officers and create a public disturbance. After being placed under arrest, the female was identified as Euodias Evans, 40, of Mt Rainier Maryland. She was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held without bond.
