Trespassing Arrest

On Friday, April 5th, The Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 100 block of Polk St for a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival on scene, officers contacted the residents of the home. The residents advised that a female subject they had just met was in their home and was refusing to leave. When officers contacted the female suspect, she refused to provide officers with a name or leave the residence. After repeated requests to comply with the officers were denied by the suspect, officers advised her that she was under arrest. At that time, she began to actively resist officers and create a public disturbance. After being placed under arrest, the female was identified as Euodias Evans, 40, of Mt Rainier Maryland. She was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held without bond.

Charges: Trespassing-Private Property, Disorderly Conduct, Fail to Obey, Resisting Arrest.

On December 29, 2023, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department were contacted by CSX employees regarding subjects. A CSX Manager of Train Operations was present and was concerned for their safety of the trespassers. With the subjects being on CSX property and the concern for their safety, a CSX conductor stopped train movements. During the investigation it was learned that the subject has provided a false name in recent interactions. The trespassers walked past numerous clearly Marked “CSX Property No Trespassing” signs. The signs were placed in the location were there is heavy train movements. Riddle was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center.

Arrest: Timothy Charles Riddle, age 40, Cumberland Maryland.
Charge: Trespassing.
