On Friday officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 700 block of Memorial Avenue for a reported suspicious vehicle. Upon officers arrival they spoke with the two occupants, Remington Colt Arnold and Mystere Jo Wells, and observed the vehicle to be displaying a registration from another vehicle. The officers requested a K-9 to conduct a scan of the vehicle which indicated a positive alert. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle, where capsules of suspected heroin, a baggie of heroin, hypodermic syringes, and numerous denominations of counterfeit currency. After a search of Wells officers located two metal containers containing suspected heroin, as well as a container of suspected methamphetamines. Both Wells and Arnold were placed under arrest and taken before a District Court Commissioner where they were held on $5,000.
Arrest: Remington Colt Arnold, age 29, Great Cacapon West Virginia.
Charges: CDS Possession Not Marijuana, Possession of CDS Admin Equipment, Possession of Forged Currency, Numerous Traffic Citations.
Arrest: Mystere Jo Wells, Great Cacapon West Virginia.
Charges: CDS Possession Not Marijuana, CDS Possession Not Marijuana, CDS Possession Paraphernalia.

At approximately 11 PM Friday an officer from the Cumberland Police Department stopped a vehicle on Virginia Avenue for an equipment violation. The stopping officer was suspicious of the operator and passengers actions and requested a K9 officer to conduct a free air sniff. The exterior free air sniff was conducted and the K9 showed a positive alert for the presence of the odor of drugs. A probable cause search was conducted and officers located two separate locations in the vehicle containing suspected crystal methamphetamine. As a result both Chelsy Rose Wilt and Barbara Jane Sirbaugh were taken into custody. They were transported to police headquarters for processing. Later in the shift both subjects were taken before the District Court Commissioner where they were both released pending trial in District Court.

Barbara Jane Sirbaugh, age 34 of Springfield, WV
Charge: Possession of CDS not marijuana
