On Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 200 block of Virginia Ave for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers contacted the caller who advised they had been assaulted by a female subject in the home. Officers observed the victim to have visible injuries to their face from the alleged assault. As a result, Bobbi Marie Adams, 34, of Cumberland MD, was placed under arrest. She was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance, where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held without bond.

On Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, the Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Virginia Ave for the report of an assault. Once on scene, officers contacted the parties involved. It was learned that an argument arose between the two parties regarding the usage of a vape pen. The argument then escalated and turned physical. During the altercation, the victim was physically attacked, leaving signs of physical injury. As a result, Kyle Morgan Shambaugh, 33, was placed under arrest. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance where he was released on a $2500 unsecured personal bond.
