Warrant Arrests

On Monday, June 23rd, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Megan Lynn Pawliske, 39, of Cumberland, MD. Pawliska was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court on June 9th, 2025. On that date, it is alleged that Pawliske failed to appear in District Court for a previous theft charge. Pawliske was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance, where he was released on a $500 unsecured bond.

CHARGES -  Bench Warrant- Failure to Appear.

On Monday, June 23rd, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Jason Lynn Winfield, 43, of Cumberland, MD. Winfield was arrested on an active Arrest Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court for an incident that occurred on June 21st, 2025. During that incident, it is alleged that Winfield violated the terms of a Protective Order that had been issued by the District Court. Winfield was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance, where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held on $1,000 bond.

CHARGES – Violate Protective Order.

On Monday, June 23rd, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Michael William Salmon, 32, of Cumberland, MD. Salmon was arrested on three active Body Attachments issued by the Allegany County Circuit Court and also a Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court. All three Body Attachments were issued in reference to child support non-compliance and the Bench Warrant was issued as a result of failing to appear in court for a previous fraud charge. Salmon was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance, where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held on $300 bond.

CHARGES – Circuit Court Body Attachment x3, Bench Warrant- Failure to Appear.

June 16th, 2025 by WCBC Radio

Courtney Delrico Thomas, 20 of Owings Mills and Baltimore, MD, was transported from Baltimore Central Booking and served a Circuit Court, Grand Jury Indictment for 6 counts of CDS: Possession with Intent to Distribute: Narcotics, 4 counts of CDS: Distribution Narcotics, 6 counts of CDS: Possession-Not Cannabis, and CDS Possession – Large Amount. Thomas is being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Nicholas Adam Gunderson, 34 formerly of Folkston, GA now identifying as homeless in Cumberland, was extradited from State Correctional Institution SCI Houtzdale in Pennsylvania and then served two (2) District Court Bench Warrants for Failure to Appear.
1) Original charge is Disorderly Conduct.
2) Original charge is Fail to Obey a Reasonable/Lawful Order.
Gunderson was released on his own recognizance at his bail review for both matters pending his next court appearance on 7/30/25.

Edward Samuel Maxfield IV, 35 of Baltimore, was transported from Baltimore Central Booking by Allegany County Detention Center's Transport and then served a Circuit Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Violation of Probation Hearing. His original conviction in 2021 was for felony CDS: possession with Intent to Distribute: Narcotics. Maxfield was sentenced by Judge Getty to a 5-year jail term with 2-years suspended and 3-years supervised probation. Maxfield is being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center pending a bail review in Circuit Court.
