On 2/13/2024 the Cumberland City Police Department served an arrest warrant on Brittany Lantz. Lantz was wanted for failing to appear in District Court on 2/12/2024 for a theft charge. Lantz was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center. Lantz received a hearing before a District Court Commissioner and was released on an unsecured $1,000.00 bond.

On 2/13/2024 the Cumberland City Police Department served an arrest warrant on Haley Kirk. Kirk failed to obey conditions of probation from a previous theft charge. Kirk was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center. Kirk received a hearing before a District Court Commissioner and was held on a $500.00 bond.

On 1/8/2024 at approximately 10:30 PM the Cumberland City Police Department were alerted to the lobby of the Police Station for an assault victim. The Cumberland Fire Department transported the victim to the hospital due to their serious injuries. The victim was interviewed and advised Christopher Seifarth had entered their residence and assaulted them with an unknown object. Officers responded to the victim’s residence in the 1000 block of Kent Avenue and observed signs of forced entry. The officers located a hammer in the area in which the assault occurred. Officers were unable to locate Seifarth at that time, so an application of charges was submitted to the District Court Commissioner. An arrest warrant was issued and on 1/11/2024, Seifarth was located and arrested. Seifarth was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

Charges – Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Home Invasion, Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment
