Warrants Served for Drug Posession

On November 30th, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Levert Ludd. The warrant was issued as a result of Ludd failing to appear for court. He was originally charged with CDS possession. Ludd was transported to central booking. He was later seen by a district court commissioner and released on his own recognizance.

ARREST WARRANT SERVED

On November 30th, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Matthew Nazelrod. The warrant was issued as a result of Nazelrod possessing CDS while in confinement and possession of CDS not cannabis. Nazelrod was placed under arrest and a search was conducted. During the search, the officer located CDS on his person. Nazelrod was transported to police headquarters and issued a citation for the CDS. He was later seen by a district court commissioner and released on an unsecured bond of $2,500.00 for the warrant.

On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served a Circuit Court bench warrant on Jason Jeffries.  The warrant was issued as the result of Jeffries violating the terms and conditions of probation.  He was arrested and transported to the Allegany County Detention where he is being held without bond pending his appearance in the Circuit Court of Allegany County.

On Tuesday, October 25, 2022 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant and an arrest warrant on Carla Minnick.  The bench warrant was issued as a result of Minnick failing to comply with an order of the court.  She was originally charged with 3 counts of CDS: Possession-Not Cannabis, CDS Admin Equip Possess, and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.  The arrest warrant was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on October 20, 2022 at Minnick’s Pre-Trial check-in at Alternative Sentencing.  Charges were filed against Minnick at the District Court of Allegany County.  Minnick was arrested and transported to Central Booking. She was seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on two $2,500 bonds.

On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served arrest warrants on Nancy Sills and Terry Dow.  The warrants were issued as the result of an incident that occurred on September 16, 2022.  On this date at approximately 4:43 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 400 block of Hill Street for a disturbance.  Police contacted the residents, later identified as Nancy Sills and Terry Dow.  Sills advised that she had been yelling at Dow.  Sills and Dow refused to cooperate with police and would not provide officers with their identifying information.  After further investigation, the officer filed for charges against Sills and Dow at the District Court of Allegany County.  Sills and Dow were both arrested and later transported to Central Booking.   During the warrant service of Sills, she assaulted the arresting officer.  Additional charges were filed.
