55th Annual Crop Walk
The 55th annual CROP Walk for Hunger will take place along the GAP Trail on Sunday, October 11th. The walk raises money for local food pantries including Western Maryland Food Bank, Cumberland Interfaith Community Food Pantry, and the LaVale United Methodist Food Pantry. “About a year and a half ago what happened where I pastor at the Westernport Tri Towns area with the flooding, and also the George’s Creek area as well, too, we’ve pulled together and did a lot, you know, for the area and the community.”
Sandy Lippold says the Western Maryland Health System Foundation also supports the walk…
“This year alone we will be sharing about $60,000 with community partners and—the CROP Walk being one of them.”
