Additional Solar Farm Hearing July 14

A contested public hearing on the proposed solar farm on Helmstetter’s Curve is set for July 14 with the Public Service Commission. The Allegany County Commissioners have discussed that prior testimony did not adequately present their concerns about the importance of the Cash Valley viewshed. Commissioner Bill Atkinson said more emphasis on the matter is needed…

“So I think there’s some misinformation that’s out there that we need to kind of monitor and make sure when we do testify at this other hearing that they do hear all the issues that we have with that.”
