Attention Turns To November Elections

With the Primary Election over, Maryland candidates for office have their eyes on November. For the General Election, several races will affect Allegany County – three seats open on the county commissioners, and two seats and the mayoral position in Cumberland. Newcomer Kit Pepper Lescallette has secured necessary signatures to run as an independent in the commissioner’s race and Senator Mike McKay and House Minority Leader Jason Buckel each have Democratic opponents.
