Boor Challenging for County Commissioner

The three incumbent Republican commissioners for Allegany County will be facing an Independent this November as well as two Democratic challengers.  One Democrat is Chelsea Boor, a Spanish teacher at Fort Hill High School.  Boor told WCBC that she wants opportunities for her two young children who are growing up in Allegany County…

“I didn’t see much opportunity for them, more than when I was a kid. And I went oh, my gosh, they’re going to be 18 in no time and I want them to feel like they can stay here, and they can live here, and they can grow here.”

Boor went on to explain that her campaign for commissioner has three goals…

“Live, grow, and stay so that we can give our kids opportunities to better themselves and grow themselves and they feel like they can stay here, get good jobs, and help to grow the area.”
