Broadcasters Visit Capitol Hill

Radio broadcasters across the nation have been visiting lawmakers in Washington D.C. to encourage passage of the AM Radio For Every Vehicle Act. Passage would mandate AM radio in passenger vehicles for eight years and require warning labels on vehicles that don’t. “If I hadn’t been listening to my local radio station, hearing the weather forecast in real time, I would have been on the interstate when that tornado crossed the road two years ago. So I get chill bumps today thinking about that and those kinds of things happen all the time.”
