With federal dollars being earmarked for some kind of power station at AES Warrior Run in Mexico Farms, Delegate Jason Buckel tells WCBC News that the Trump Administration kept a promise to provide financial incentives and regulatory assistance to reopen coal plants. Buckel added that the plant had a made a difference when it was up and running…

“The AES Warrior Run plant was one of the cleanest coal facilities in America. It was a fantastic facility – not just in Allegany County but in the state of Maryland and really the whole grid within our region. It helped provide us power and tried to help bring some of these prices down.”
