Centre Street Bench Warrant, CDS and Fraud Arrest

On September 23, 2026, officers with the Cumberland Police Department responded to a suspicious person complaint in the 200 Block of N. Centre Street. Officers made contact with a male who identified himself as Dylan Davies. Officers subsequently determined the male’s identity to be Nicolas Aaron Davies. Davies initially provided officers a false name and later admitted doing so because he knew he had an active arrest warrant. Officers confirmed that Davies had an outstanding warrant for failure to obey a court order, issued by the Allegany County District Court on September 17th, 2026. During the arrest, officers located suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in Davies’ possession. Davies was taken into custody and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he was remanded without bond.
