Community Excited about Wills Mountain State Park

The public meeting for Wills Mountain State Park on Thursday had an excellent turnout, with a packed room of residents and outdoor enthusiasts. The Maryland Park Service provided updates on the environmental cleanup of the former Artmor Plastics property, as well as the current status of wildlife and land management and answer the number of questions from the public. This meeting serves as a step in creating a master plan to develop the property for public access. Maryland Park Service Ranger, Cliff Puffenberger expressed his appreciation for the community’s involvement and added it’s not too late to get involved…
“You can reach out to the Park and call the main office at 301.722.1480 and I will give you my email address and reach out to me personally that way you can get your information, get you locked in and on the list.”
