County Accepts Bid for Phase One of Kingspan Site Work

After receiving four bids for the Kingspan Roofing and Waterproofing site work, the Allegany County Commissioners accepted Carl Belt’s offer for over $682,000 during Thursday’s meeting.  Jeff Barclay, director of the Department of Economic Development explained at the meeting that Carl Belt will start the groundwork for the rails…

“This is phase one which is most of the dirt work, and then we’ll issue a phase two for actually laying the track at a later date.”

Kingspan is currently in the process of hiring, added Commissioner Bill Atkinson, and information can be found on Indeed and LinkedIn…

“They will be hiring close to 90 or 95 people over the next couple of months to open their operations which we hope will be sometime between now and the end of the year.”
