CSX Planning Layoffs

CSX is planning layoffs across their footprint of over 1,000 workers. The announcement comes just after posting new record quarterly revenue of $3.94 billion dollars. The layoffs include engineers, and maintenance of way employees that inspect tracks. Locations were not indicated. “This is completely uncalled for. There is nothing that you could provide that says this is a good idea. Making it unsafe for the public, making it unsafe for the employees. There’s nothing to gain other than this is just pure greed.”
