Daylight Savings Time Vote Coming

A vote to make Daylight Savings Time permanent could come this week after it passed out of the House Rules Committee. Fox News’ Tonya Powers has more on what may happen…
“The Sunshine Protection Act, which would put an end to the twice a year clock switching and make Daylight Saving Time permanent was approved 48-1 in the House Energy and Commerce Committee in May. The proposal being considered would allow states to opt out. Daylight Saving Time, putting the clocks forward one hour during the summer half of the year, has been in place in nearly all of the U.S. since the 1960s. If it passes the House, the Senate would then have to consider whether to take up the measure.”
